Will you help fund a scholarship?

Now is a great time to give the gift of a dream come true for a student who would love to attend the Festival, but needs a little help to get there. PLEASE consider making a TAX DEDUCTIBLE donation to our program. Your donation will be used to fund outstanding educational programs and to provide tuition assistance to students. The number of scholarships we can provide to students is directly dependent on our fund-raising. The more we raise, the more students we can assist. Thank you for your support!

Scholarships

Funded through generous donations, the Acadia Trad School’s Scholarship Program provides need-based tuition assistance to students who would otherwise be unable to attend the Acadia Trad Festival. More than 90 students have benefitted from this program since its inception.

Scholarships generally pay for one half of the tuition fee only (lodging and food are not included in the scholarship program). Scholarships are available to students at any age or level, but we ask that you apply based on need — the program is designed to offer financial assistance to students who would otherwise not be able to attend.

The Scholarship application period runs from October 1 – January 31. Late applications will be reviewed only if sufficient funding is available to accept more applications. To be considered for a scholarship, all applicants must register and complete the scholarship section of the form, as well as pay the 25% tuition deposit at time of application. Applicants will be notified by email of their scholarship status no later than February 15. Applicants who are awarded the scholarship will be asked to make payment of the balance by May 31st. Scholarships awarded for the 2020 Festival must be used in 2020. If you do not receive a scholarship, and you opt not to attend the Festival, your deposit will be returned.

There is no work requirement for Scholarship students. If you would LIKE to volunteer, please indicate this in the Volunteer section of your Registration form. We need loads of help to make this Festival run, so thank you in advance for considering it!

Work Study

A limited number of Work Study positions are also available for those would like to work in exchange for partial tuition. Work Study positions are for adults only, and work assignments must be completed by the person award the tuition credit. To be considered for a Work Study position, all applicants must register and complete the scholarship section of the form, as well as pay the 25% tuition deposit at time of application.
